ADR-0005 Tournaments are events with bullets and days

Version: 1 · 2026-10-02 · accepted

Decision

A tournament is an event row with a status (open until the last day is played) and a final result. Every bullet fired is a tournament_entry row with flight, kind (entry, re-entry, add-on), cost and outcome (busted, bagged, bag paid out, forfeited). Every day at the table is a tournament_day row with hours. ROI is per event over all bullets; open events are excluded from closed ROI and shown as money in play.

Why

The owner's own case: fifteen bullets across several Day 1 flights of one Metro Poker Manila event, one flight paid out, another bagged for a Day 2 played days later. A single row with an entry count cannot hold two flights with different outcomes and an event still open.

Consequences

The re-entry cap rule counts bullets per event. Each bullet leaves the pot when fired; a paid-out bag returns when paid; the final result lands when known.
